Laura Nyirinkindi

Laura Nyirinkindi is a human rights lawyer working in the field of gender, governance and rule of law for over 15 years. She holds a Masters degree from Oxford University in International Human Rights Law and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University, Kampala. Laura taught international human rights law at Kampala International University from 2004-2007.

Laura was the Chairperson of the Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (2010-2014) and is currently serving as Regional Vice President, (East and Southern Africa), of the International Federation of Women Lawyers. Laura has been on the Board of the Legal Aid Clinic of the Law Development Centre, Kampala, on the African Development Bank-Civil Society Committee and on the Committee of Women in International Security, Brussels
